A joint meeting on Tuesday 11th july with the young at heart practitioner group.

Titled how to bluff your way in sports medicine. The speaker was Dr Patrick Milroy who is the medical
advisor to the AAA. From our feedback this was an excellent speaker who improved the understanding of the subject, which is importnt to even and average GP. Very useful and practical information. handout

 

  

Meeting April 25th.

Paediatric Emergencies: Interesting disscussion based around personal experience of paediatric cases. With the application of APLS principles. Handout. Presentation.

Meeting september at Gem Heswall.

Sponsored by MSD there was an interesting presentation by Dr Manning about the treatment of osteoporosis. A good turn out was probably prompted by the speaker, but also the excellent food.

Meeting july at Thornton Hall

Interesting if worrying joint meeting with guest speaker Colin Baker who sat in on and reported most of the original Shipman trial for ITN. The local coroner also gave us a review of his work.

Meeting 17 May 2005 on HRT

Thank you to everyone who attended making this a succesful meeting. It was an interesting clinical discussion around HRT.

Meeting 2nd March 2005

Thanks to everyone who came to this meeting at Thornton Hall. We discussed the resource pack and getting NHS email addresses.

Meeting February 2005

Meeting saw the development of a plan for future action. It is intended to have around 6 meetings per year with a programme including education, politics, and self help. The first priority is to produce a resource pack for sessional and salaried doctors and a contact system.
